Half term refresher, now back to....

We hope that you have all had a lovely half term and you are looking forward to going back to school in the buildup to Christmas. As announced yesterday, we are gutted that we cannot enjoy the last few weeks of this term with you. Considering the length of time that some pupils had away from dancing during lockdown earlier on in the year and then the continuation of classes online, it has been great to get back to some kind of normality and be able to see skills develop during autumn term, especially in our main focus areas. Unfortunately, we now need to disturb this development again, but looking on the positive side, it will hopefully be just for four weeks of our autumn term, which is a much shorter period than before.

We were just starting to think about some possible deadlines to work towards also, including possible exams in the spring 1 term and also our annual show, which I have now been in contact with Stantonbury Campus Theatre about. It is very frustrating to not be able to share the dancers' achievements with everybody via these celebratory events for the meantime, but it will make it even more special for the dancers when they finally arrive there one day.

On the positive side, we shall look forward to bringing you some creative dance workshops over the next few weeks. We hope that all our teachers will be able to interact with you online and bring a range of dance genre to you through the screen. We also look forward to bringing back some of our most popular online lessons such as flow and tone! As always, everybody is welcome to join in with these sessions; we shall announce them on social media, as well as display them on our website diary, and you can register for each workshop separately. It was lovely before to have current dancers, past members of the school, and friends and family of Attitude all joining in the fun, so please feel free to do this again.

We have been working on our spring timetable over the half term period, which we shall aim to release by next week. The full timetable shall be emailed to all current members, but will also be available to download on our website and links will be on our social media platforms. If you would like to join any additional lessons, please let us know as soon as possible, as some of the classes are close to being fully booked or we already have waiting lists in place. We were also planning on releasing some exam information, but we shall hold this back until we have further updates on the national restrictions moving into the Christmas period and beyond.

So there are still things to be looking forward to and we hope as many of you as possible will try our online programme. There are of course many classes that are still available via our YouTube channel, main facebook page, and subscription page from the summer, but we will be bringing you more very shortly; please keep a lookout for these.

We hope all of you keep well and safe and #keepdancing
